Interesting article on how lack of women's toilets kept women at home

It seems to be deliberate by some men, short sightedness by others.

This is a very sad situation. I am a PhD student at university. One of the women on my course is Muslim. She has said that if we begin to segregate toilets by gender instead of sex, then she will have to use the disabled toilets. She said that under no circumstances can she use mixed-sex public bathrooms. She said that things like swimming will become out of the question. Sad

I think that if single sex facilities stop being provided, then many women will just stop using them.
If you can't get changed at the pool, or the gym, for instance, without sharing with men then I for one wouldn't use them.
I don't want to be half in half out of my swimming cossie to look up and see a strange bloke putting on his pants.

Interesting to see how sex segregation came about.
