Orthopaedic chair

I have major lower back issues and have been told by my medical team that I need an orthopaedic chair for the office.

I've had a look and there are 1000+ out there - can anyone recommend some tried and tested ones?

Do you work in an organisation large enough to have access to Occupational Health? They should be able to do an assessment of your work space, and make recommendations. Your organisation should also be able to fund any adaptations you need in your working environment to enable you to work safely.

Hi there - thanks, the rest of the workspace is fine, it's just the chair I need advice on Smile. I want to make sure that I don't get any old orthopaedic chair as once it's bought they might not buy another if I get the wrong one!

Yeah you need an OT. But have a look at Bambach chair. Promotes "active sitting". Ie getting the core to work better. Start slowly on it though, don't do a whole day at the first sitting....

I'm afraid I'm tried a bambach chair and hated it! I just need a very adjustable orthopaedic chair that supports my lower back without all the pressure and doesn't give me coccyx pain.
