Let's play a game. When will my parcel arrive?

The only information I have so far is it'll come today, between 6am and 10pm. I had an email from 4am that it was loaded at depot and ready to go. Thankfully not Yodel so I do trust that it'll arrive withing those times but that's a very large time slot!

The last time I started a thread like this parcel had been delivered within 90 mins so hoping for the same again Grin

I always find when I am given a time slot for a maintenance job or delivery such as between 8 am and 5 pm they/it usually arrive at 4:55......so for you I'm guessing 9:55 pm if you have luck like mine! but crossing fingers it arrives in next hour!

iloveredwine · 18/09/2018 09:06

It will be when you have popped to the shop to get milk or gone for a shower!

randomsabreuse · 18/09/2018 09:07

It will arrive if you go to the toilet, have a shower or start something it is annoying to stop- or at 9.55pm...

BearSoFair · 18/09/2018 09:14

Yes I do have the fear of it turning up as soon as I go for a wee!

Expected between 1 and 2 according to latest email. I'm going to risk having a shower, there's no way they'll be that early!

Does it have a "you are no 27" or "the van is now at Distant Town You Couldn't Believe Is On My Route" map option?

Mailfuckoff · 18/09/2018 10:27

I've ordered a special run t-shirt from American, one one want to guess how many days or weeks until it comes?

BearSoFair · 18/09/2018 10:30

I'm number 53, driver is currently on number 20 which the little map says is 5 streets away so seems like an odd in and then back away again route they've got going! Haven't chanced the shower yet just in case he comes by...

Mail I reckon you'll get it 2 weeks!

I had a yodel one the other day... between 8am and 8pm it said.. at 11pm had to rearrange the delivery!

BearSoFair · 18/09/2018 10:58

Neighbour had an issue with Yodel just last week, they claimed to have dropped his parcel off to us and said 'Simon' had signed for it. None of us are called Simon! Apparently they were adamant that it had been signed for by Simon at our address and seemed to think that neighbour maybe just didn't know our names...turned out it had actually been signed for by someone 12 doors down, who is called Simon!

One way for any political party to gain votes would be to outlaw such an abuse of people's time. Supermarkets can deliver within an hour slot, perhaps the law should be no more than a two hour window.

If they were a public body it would fail all Equality Act tests.

We had this once, we were something like number 63, he was delivering parcel ‘5’ across the road (the shop was a parcel pick up point). Spent all day watching his little dot drives miles away before eventually circling back. Kicked myself for not (getting dressed) hopping across the road to grab it initially. Would have made me look like a stalking weirdo I’m sure!

Currently waiting in our new sofa to be delivered. Luckily it’s between 10-3, as I need to go to the shop, however I know I’ll go to the loo or feed the kids when it turns up. Plus I’m super anxious is not going to fit through the door....

BearSoFair · 18/09/2018 11:52

Hope you don't have to wait too long Pad!

Little dot is now even closer, two streets away, but still 20 deliveries between us...these poor drivers must get so bored going round and round the same streets all day!

This seems appropriate.

I could probably walk to the end of the road and see the van!

I'm currently in a state of limbo with deliveries as well today.
Ordered 2 radiator covers from amazon at weekend for the dining room and hallway. Got an email yesterday saying hallway one to be delivered on Saturday, fine by me. Then get a message today from xdp saying my prorider is being delivered between 11-1. Not a clue what a prorider is, so googled and it's the name of a company owned by the same company who make the radiator covers. Ok, assumed it was dining room one as hallway one arriving Saturday. But then amazon emailed to say that the hallway one is now arriving today.
So I checked on amazon app - that says hallway one is being delivered by amazon, and dining room one by yodel, not xdp!
The dining room one has now arrived (at 12) in an unmarked white van (so don't know if it was yodel or xdp), but I don't know if there has been some confusion or if my hallway one is also arriving today by amazon delivery.

I'm going to boast that I've just had a Yodel and DPD delivery at the same time. DPD was expected, Yodel not, but pleased I can now go out! Grin

BearSoFair · 18/09/2018 13:20

I'm next on the list!

Getting Yodel and DPD turn up on the same day must be a first Long, remember the date Grin

Oh no Figment not even knowing for sure if you have something else coming must be the worst!

I had a delivery once due 6AM-9PM Hmm

Figmentofimagination · 18/09/2018 17:12

The hallway radiator cover arrived! Luckily my husband was home to carry it as the guy wanted to leave me at the front door with it and it's 23kg!
