Anyone knows Liverpool and can help me with restaurant recommendations?

I am on a work placement in Liverpool Women’s Hospital next week, working 12 hour shifts three days in a row. Couple of hours from home, staying in a hotel so having three meals a day is a bit of a mission impossible, especially as I am starting at 7 so will have to leave the hotel way before breakfast.
On top of that, I’m a vegetarian and have recently started to have really bad stomach pains if I have anything too fatty, so I have to stick with quite healthy meals - I can find something in most restaurants but a chippy/McDonald’s isn’t possible.
So, can anyone recommend any nice, affordable restaurants in Liverpool please? I really don’t know my way around the city at all so any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
TIA

Check out Kimo’s.
They have on on Myrtle Street (not far from LWH) and on Mount Plesant, not far from The Adelphi.

The Brink - cheap, very large portions (depending what it is you could ask them to box the leftovers and could get a second meal out of it) good quality and impressive vegetarian and vegan offerings

Grilla isn't far from the hospital at all and they do beautiful food. Have a look at them online

LEAF on Bold Street
I don't know if Egg is still there but that's a veggie/vegan place if it is that's on Newington off Bold Street. Basically you can't go wrong on Bold Street loads of nice places

Mrskeats · 18/09/2018 01:10

Leaf is amaze

Liverpool has so many options for vegetarian and vegans...
Mowgli
Italian Club
Maray
Down the Hatch
Most of these are on or near Bold St. Egg is still there and amazing quality food. Can be a bit difficult to find so Google it and Leaf is always a winner.
My sister is a vegan so if I get any more suggestions I'll post again.

Delifonseca is lovely

CurcubitaPepo · 18/09/2018 08:04

Egg is fab!

Mowgli is amazing. Bakchich is good and not fatty. Also there are a couple of vegetarian places on bold street too I think. Basically just walk along bold street until you find a place you like the look of, they're all good. And there is a great big health food shop when you get out of the train at Liverpool central (I forget the name of the exit) so you can get stuff to take back to your hotel room. Also have you had your gall bladder checked, could be gallstones?

Bold street has an array of amazing restaurants that cater for vegetarians. I love mowgli

SummersB · 18/09/2018 11:31

Whatsnew thank you, will try and find that health food shop!
It’s prolonged gastritis my GP is thinking, brought on by a new intolerance of dairy (and probably too much coffee and alcohol).
Thanks again for the recommendations!!

I came on to say Leaf on Bold Street, too! Bold Street's got lots of restaurants but Leaf is just the sort of thing you need - quite cheap and very healthy but delicious, too.

Egg Cafe, and Leaf. Enjoy!
