We really want to go to Stockholm in May 2020 for our joint 30ths. Dc will be 3, 10, 12. Who are the best people to book with and when? Where to stay? It’s so hard a family of 5! X

I’ve flown ba and Scandinavian airlines. Just book independently. Take them to Skansen.

It's best to book everything separately

Fly BA, SAS or Norwegian

The Scandic hotel chain is good - you can fit everyone in one room with them

sanssherif · 17/09/2018 19:45

Is it expensive?

AveEldon · 21/09/2018 09:51

Eating out and drinking in bars is expensive

Have 'dagens' eg. lunch of the day that most restaurants serve at a decent price up until 2-3 pm then have something lighter for dinner to save money!

I think there is a Stockholm card you can buy which gives you discount on entries to museeums, amusement parks, travel etc

Stockholm is small so you don't have to live bang in the centre, look a bit further out to get it cheaper

Stockholm is a great city. We fly with Norwegian or SAS. I second Skansen and you must go to the Vasa.
Don't bother taking cash with you, it's very hard to spend, cards only is the norm!

My family of five was in Stockholm this summer. We flew with Norwegian and stayed at First Hotel Nortull. We had a great time.
