Partners birthday next Monday instead of cake would a cheese platter for his office with lots of biscuits be ok maybe some chutney too. I was going to make him a Batman cake but he’s obsessed with cheese and biscuits was going to get lots of nice cheeses and pile them up with a big box of crackers grapes and chutney I’ve got some Lego Batman figureeens that I will but in between and one big candle or shall I stick to a cake

That sounds amazing! I love cheese and hate cake though.

I love a good old fashioned cheese board.

Or: Loads of people have a cheese tiers these days. My friend had this at her birthday party.
What about a smaller version:
a small Brie and a small round goats cheese would give you 2 tiers? For starters.

M&S does a 3 tier cheese cake (as in cake made of cheese not cheesecake)

Now, I love cheese, but for something to take into the office I would stick with the traditional cake. Easier to eat!

Oblomov18 · 17/09/2018 19:09

That's true. Tesco does one for £30. M&S do one for £95.

Cheaper just to pick a few cheeses yourself though. From any supermarket or deli. Not hard or no artistic talent really needed.

Thanks will have a look at cheese tomorrow looked at the cakes but won’t come in time

I take cheese into the office when it’s my birthday as I don’t like cake. It always goes down well.

EthelThePiratesDaughter · 17/09/2018 19:27

Cheese sounds brilliant.

Most people who work in offices eat too much cake because it's always there but really they're sick of the sight of it.

A colleague of mine brought in home made samosas once and people were a lot more excited about those than a box of doughnuts.
