REALLY BORING - can anyone recommend a good ironing board.

Sorry. Extremely boring thread alert. Need a new ironing board, want a decent one and don't mind paying a bit extra for one that lasts. Any suggestions? Thanks

We splashed out on a Brabantia 20 years ago. 1000s of shirts later, it’s still going strong.

Brabantia. Costco have them on offer every so often, if you have /know someone with membership.

Another vote for Brabantia.

I second Brabantia. Had it only about two years but it’s excellent and looks brand New still (and not because I don’t use it much, sadly!).

Excellent! Thanks so much. Planning to go to Argos (more excitement) so I'll see what they have in Brabantia.

I got mine online from Brabantia, excellent discount too during one of their sales.

Wish I'd asked - just bought a minky one from argos and it's wobbly as hell. Taking it back, should I swop it for brabantia?

How annoying chesterfieldsofa! I've had a look on Amazon and there seem to be a few discounted Brabantias, think I'm swaying towards a standard one like this www.amazon.co.uk/Brabantia-Ironing-Board-Steam-Standard/dp/B003I86O0Q

Brabantia - especially if your tall fully adjustable very sturdy have had it for years. It was pricey but worth it.

FaithInfinity · 17/09/2018 22:45

chesterfieldsofa we did! Wobbly as hell indeed! I marched in with it and said it wasn’t fit for purpose. Got a refund and bought a Branbantia from Dunelm instead.

I've got this one and it's brilliant, really sturdy and a good sized surface.
