Wtf can I do! Is it too late to take that medication which delays your period?

I’d really rather not be worrying about that and just having ahem fun instead

Help?! Does anything speed it up, ibuprofen I’ve heard works?

There's a pill you can get but it's on prescription. Can you not wait to have fun until the next date?! X

Witchofzog · 17/09/2018 12:17

Honestly? Just have a date and enjoy each other's company. If you like each other then he will wait until you are no longer on a period. It's always good to wait a bit I think anyway- the anticipation makes it more exciting

Is it with your neighbour Wink

Meahahahhahaha no it’s not, but maybe I could ask him?

I have heavy periods and would rather not be cranky and worried about leaking, not from a sex pov although that could change

I’m no prude but on a first date....

Get to know each other first at least

Rednaxela · 17/09/2018 12:21

You're planning to dtd on the first date? Before you have even gone on the date Hmm

If you both decide you would like to bonk each other, you can do it later. And hopefully on more than one occasion. Hmm

delilahbucket · 17/09/2018 12:22

Nothing will speed up your period arriving. If you bleed heavily then ibuprofen helps with that, as long as you take it every 4-6 hours. Combined with paracetamol it should help with cramps too. Alternatively, if they are really really heavy, naproxen is available on prescription.

Haireverywhere · 17/09/2018 12:23

Just invest in good sanitary products and wear dark clothes if you leak?

Your neighbour will be jealous though haha

You've still got time if you can see the doctor asap. Ask for Norethisterone . You take it for 4 days and then you'll get your period about 3-4 days after that . So that would take it to next week. Have a great date !

Ilove80s · 17/09/2018 12:24

What if you don’t like him?

stellabird · 17/09/2018 12:25

Ibuprofen is for pain - it doesn't make any difference to the timing of your period.

Vapidothefirst · 17/09/2018 12:26

I’ve known him for years have no fear!

Unless you have really bad periods, eg cramps and a terribly heavy flow I see no reason why you can't go out and have some fun. You wouldn't not go to work because of your period, if you feel OK you can still enjoy a meal, theatre, drink or whatever.

specialsubject · 17/09/2018 12:28

the drug, like all drugs, may not work for you. if your period affects your life get treatment but it wont be settled by Saturday.

'I heard' statements are always nonsense.

you can of course shag while bleeding, but perhaps a few introductions first?

Singlenotsingle · 17/09/2018 12:30

Have you got a big plate ready? Hmm

Saggital · 17/09/2018 12:34

Bloody hell, that’s bad luck.

Chocolatecoffeeaddict · 17/09/2018 12:34

Are you worried about being uncomfortable on the date with being on a period or because you're not able to have sex? Some painkillers, good protection and comfortable clothes, or delay for a few days of that doesn't work for you.
If it's the latter, can you not just wait?

SparklyMagpie · 17/09/2018 12:36

@Singlenotsingle Ahaha 😂😂 sorry but couldn't help but think of Alan partridge and his big plate
