Talk to me about kids’ dance parties

Anyone had one and can tell me what they are??

My daughter is 4 in January and I’m just exploring some party options. Options are limited in this neck of the woods but I don’t want to do soft play and my house is nowhere near big enough to have something here.

I’ve seen a few local dance studios offer dance parties which I think DD would like. She loves to dance. My understanding is that they are led by dance teachers.

So...is it just a dance class? If so, how interested will the other kids be? Is this a good idea?

The other idea I had was to invite the girls in her nursery class and have a little (age appropriate) “pamper party” (nails painted, hair done sort of thing). My DD would LOVE this but are they too young? Am I likely to have the other parents up in arms?

They're not just dance classes usually. They make it more like a fun, group thing. My DD went to one and they'd put on a song and guide the children in something....for example, "Everyone put on a pair of sunglasses and do your coolest dance!" and they get very interactively involved.

Silly dances etc.

Re pamper party....don't. Many parents don't like these for very young children and you may get refusals.

My daughter has just turned 4 at the end of August so we've had a year of 4th birthday parties. Apart from 2 soft play parties the rest have been a village hall hired out with a bouncy castle. A couple of them had DJs who did party games.
