Just that really. Mid 40;s. Single parent to DS3 and DS16. Tantrums on both ends of the scale. Very stressful job (which I actually love). I am just fed up of getting the rage. Example today 16 yr old really wants to go out to forest and hire mountain bikes. Rare he wants to go out with us so despite being skint and tired I go for it. They frickin argue all the time, it costs me £45 to hire bikes and £35 for a frickin year car park pass. Fighting, arguing, winging, asking for me, fucking off and leaving me and DS3 sat in cold wondering where the f he is

Then we get home (they bicker all the way home until i get the rage then they mutually find tthat hilarious). I need to cook, clean, iron etc. etc. I ask DS16 to hoover upstairs and he just hoovers a small track around various bits on the floor.. arrghhhhhhhh

I know I'm over reacting and SERIOUSLY need to chill..... I actually feel like jumping off a cliff or running away sometimes :(

Actually I feel like one too, I'll come and snuggle alongside you Grin

Not sure what to suggest about the teens, they have set tasks which they're not doing?

CheesebiscuitsWine · 16/09/2018 21:02

Ohh I wouldn't snuggle alongside me, you might get whacked by remote control the mood I'm in Grin
I set him jobs but he does them so badly and becomes so bad tempered and will take to irritating me and the little one to show his displeasure.
Bloody kids. I really wish they had an 'off' button

Yikes

Sorry I read that initially as DS13 and DS16. Sounds like you need a good vent and some downtime!

ILiveInSalemsLot · 16/09/2018 21:07

I hate moaning and bickering. It drives me mad.
I get my kids agreement before we do anything that they won’t moan or bicker about anything.
Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn’t.
La la la I’m not listening works too.

3 year old is the biggest whinge ever.... omg. I don't know why, the older one wasn't like it. But he's only just turned 3 so still tantruming. I walked off when he tantrumed today... i am sure i was getting some looks Hmm

At least tomorrow is a work day, yay!

I wanted to leave this morning, so I did. I went and picked some apples at the local farm shop, ignored a text from DD13 & came home. DH had not even noticed Angry

Some days I hate my life.

No answers, just Thanks

CheesebiscuitsWine · 16/09/2018 21:20

Chuckie sorry to hear you hate your life some days. But oh the envy I feel that you can just go and do something on your own. I have to take grumpy 3 year old with me... its not fun and I just want to be alone!!
