Car leasing

I've decided to lease my next car rather than buy. I'm interested in minimising the bother of owning a car (recent huge inconvenience and cost) but at the same time don't want to pay over the odds for the convenience. Does anyone lease from a company they would recommend please? I want a Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV.

Best bet is to look at some of the comparison sites - what car has a good one.

Are you completely sold on that particular car? In general, the way to get the best deals when it comes to leasing is to be flexible and keep watch for the good offers. There's normally a long running lease deals thread over on pistonheads which is worth keeping an eye on. We've been fairly flexible with our last couple of cars and ended up with better cars than we would have planned for.

Even if you are sold on the car, being flexible on paint/trim/spec details makes a huge difference IME. As soon as you start adding personalised extras it becomes expensive as in most cases the entire cost of the extra goes in to your lease payment.

We've used Nationwide, Gateway to Lease and another whose name escapes me. All been fine.

@StatisticallyChallenged that's phenomenally helpful thank you. Yes sold on that car. It meets all my needs and like for like compares so well with what I've currently got (minus the problems). I'm sold on colour but it's a very common colour so that's not an expensive preference. Even the basic spec is as good as what I currently have so I'm hopeful I won't be too demanding there. Really helpful thanks.
