Currency in Prague

Friends D.C. are going to Prague for their 21st birthdays and I want to give them both some currency to use over there.

I know they use the Czech Crown but apparently they also take the Euro and I can’t work out which is better to give.

Any advice appreciated

I’ve been a few times and not that many places take euros and if they do it’s often a lot more expensive

Give crowns, but remind them to use up coins before breaking a new note as nowhere will buy back coins, and our bureau denchange wouldn’t buy back any notes less than 100 crowns.

Shops will take euro, but will give change in crowns.

Some shops will take euro, sorry. Was trying to multitask.
