I have no idea what's going on with my body!

So, I came off the pill 5 weeks ago today after having been on it for roughly 5 years. We are TTC and have been having unprotected sex since I came off. I had some clear, egg-white discharge about a week ago and the rest of the time it's been normal and cloudy colour. I have started spotting today, but it's only when I go to the toilet that I notice the blood on the paper, there's none in my pants. It's definitely not my wee that's bloody. It's very light but deep red colour. Can anyone shed a light on what is happening? This is the first time were trying and I literally have no idea what's happening. 😂

Your body is simply adjusting to coming off the pill. It is unlikely to go back to normal straight away. 5 weeks is not a very long time. I don't think anyone on here will be able to tell you exactly what's going on. Give it some time and I'm sure you will adjust back to 'normal'

Sounds like you are either having your first period off the pill, or maybe it's implantation bleeding and you are pregnant. Either way, nothing to worry about. If the bleeding becomes heavy and is an obvious period, carry on regardless. And if the bleeding stops, wait for a week or so and do a pregnancy test. Good luck !

Thank you both for your replies! I've just been to the toilet, again nothing in my pants but looked into the toilet before I flushed and there was a big blob of blood at the bottom but again only a small amount on the paper. I think I just need to relax as it's constantly on my mind atm.

It takes a while for your body to adjust to coming off the pill. My periods were not regular in any way for about 6 months.
