Where am I supposed to keep the fat wallet that contains the car manual, logbook/service history?

Car newbie here. Blush Previously I had this fat folder thingy under the front seat but then I thought 'what if the car gets nicked?' Hmm So I'm not sure whether this stuff should be kept in the house separate or not?

Thank you!

I keep the car manual in the glove box with the service history, and the log book in the house.

I’ve always kept it in the glove compartment. The car I have just now the glove compartment is shaped to hold it in a way that the rest of it can be used for all the rest of my crap.

Logbook is in the house though.

Yes my glove box has a place the same shape as the handbook folder too.

Fits in the large pocket in (my) car door.

Log book and service history in the house with other 'valuable' documents. Manual and fat folder in the car (I always have to look up the tyre pressures when I do the tyres).
