Glitter walls?

So we are moving and DD 8 has requested that one of her walls to be glittery. So been looking at prices of glitter fabric wallpaper and God it's not cheap. So looked at the paint additives has anyone used it? And is it easy to paint over should we need to?

I used ordinary wall paint on a wall then added a sachet of Valspars glitter to some water based varnish (just enough for the wall - not the whole tin - watered down and the whole sachet) and it worked out well.

Is it smooth so you could paint over it again?

My sister put glitter into the pain in her bedroom, it looks amazing. Probably looks better than it sounds but she did the main wall in her room grey with glitter. Then put canvasses up she had had made from photographs of city scapes she took on holiday. Doesn't feel rough so I think it could easily be painted over. She got proper glitter for putting in paint so it may be more fine than other glitter. Three large sachets for £5 from BnM, B&M, Bee and Em?? 😁

We put glitter in the paint. Looks fab and we actually painted over one wall because DSD wanted a mural on it. Very smooth and paints over as if you were painting over any other paint!

That's great to know as it's a rented from the council
