EBay parcel has medication in it

Won some play mobil on eBay. The small tub rattled so I opened it thinking there were smaller parts inside. And it's these tablets! I've sent a message to the seller.

I'm so glad I opened it before I put it anywhere near children (It's for work so always check stuff really carefully and wash it etc) because you can get the kids would have got it open!

The pink tablet reminds me of my mum's morphine.

The capsule is ADHD medication.

The white ones look like Circadin (melatonin). Shocking thing to find though, thank goodness you checked!

ah... so these were the child's own meds the child hid away? Or a sibling's.

How much harm would they realistically cause if all ingested at once by, say, a 3yr old?

ps: melatonin has NO effect on me. So I don't rate it as anything. But I guess more potent on children.

I'm.assuming an accident and not on purpose. Bit worrying for the seller too if she thinks her dc has been taking meds but they have been stashing them.

Most people don't take their medication as directed. Not desirable, but very 'normal'.

That's shocking. Surely the seller would have checked the little basket if it rattled? Have they gotten back to you?

@medschoolrat I'm not sure putting medicine in a Children's toy and posting it in a sold parcel on eBay for another child to use is normal?

@givemeallthegin8 they have said "sorry i thought i had checked it all" which I thought was unusual as they didn't seem shocked it could possibly be in there so assume they have a child who stashes meds places instead of taking them.
