Any physios?

Hello, I am seeing a physio once a month to address a minor niggle in my lower back. He has given me a set of exercises which includes some squats and lunges. Today I was doing them in the swimming pool (not busy, plenty of space, waist deep) whilst watching DD (very sensible, good swimmer) .
Does doing these exercises in the water “count”? I am deliberating whether the buoyancy of the water makes them easier, or the resistance makes them harder!

Bouyancy will make it easier. If he didn't say to do them in water you need to do them on dry land.

The water will make those movements easier. If you are running through water, it makes it harder

Thank you. I figured I had nothing to loose since I was in the pool anyway.

It’s good to do exercises in water. Has your physio told you to do a pelvic floor and maintain it through your movements? This stabilises the lower back
