Op I went to see Level 42 a few years ago when I was 15, with my dad. the concert was brilliant and whilst I was the youngest one there, I and everyone else KNEW Level 42 were cool! Go, have fun, sing Tracy at the top of your lungs and have the best night ❤️

We love a bit of Level 42, and I REALLY love The Blow Monkeys, although husband doesnt share my love. I’m jealous, although have seen both bands many times in the past. Have a lovely time 😀

HoardingQueen · 16/09/2018 20:14

Love them. I've seen them every couple of years as they seem to tour every autumn. Guaranteed is my favourite song.

MuttsNutts · 16/09/2018 20:24

I saw Level 42 in Portsmouth well over 30 years ago! Were so close to the stage we were sprayed by the sweat coming off Mark King!

Enjoy Grin

Love Level 42

Had a bit of a fling with Mike Lindup back in the day 😳

'Love Games' is my favourite track

CoperCabana · 16/09/2018 21:11

Oh yes! Love Games was a choon!

You had a fling with Mike Lindup? Wow!

Never saw the point of them. Glad that people don't do that slappy bass thing so much any more.

MarthasGinYard · 16/09/2018 21:35

It's such a double whammy as I loved the Blow Monkeys in the day too.

Been listening to

' She was only a grocers daughter daughter' album this eve.

Fantastic

So strange as I was just thinking about Level 42 today.

Saw them when they were a young fledgling band - playing a small venue in Brighton, before they got famous.

Back in the day our favourite Level 42 song was Love Games. We even invented a dance to it called 'The Fish' which basically involved the movements one might make in casting a fishing rod and reeling it back in!

Grin

Sounds crazy now but you had to be there! We'd request Love Games at clubs and then take to the floor en masse to do The Fish!

Oh to be young again!

thismeansnothing · 16/09/2018 21:38

I'm a bit too young to have known and appreciated them in their heyday. But I really like them. Their bass lines are insane!

MarthasGinYard · 16/09/2018 21:41

Jitters

How young does MK look Shock

Feeling ancient
