and DC is in bed so I'm going to have some nice dinner, a couple of glasses of wine and some chocolate. What is everyone else up to tonight?

I'm drinking wine and going to watch the best strictly, rock and roll here Grin

RockyisMYRhino · 15/09/2018 19:07

Have got Harry Potter on for now but it will soon be changed for a film I've recorded Smile

My DH is away too, so SIL and my two sisters are staying with all the kids. They're up in bed (definitely not asleep) and we're about to open some wine and plan a family trip. We've got a few big birthdays over the next 18 months, so we're trying to do something a bit different (and we're fairly unimaginative!!).

FunkyBoldRibenas · 15/09/2018 19:15

I am sat in the car...with my OH...waiting to board an overnight ferry for a week away.

The sun is setting and i am feeling sleepy.

purpleme12 · 15/09/2018 19:21

Having wine trying to de-stress

stegosauruslady · 15/09/2018 19:24

DP is away, DDs are at their Dad's house and I'm struggling to think of what to do with my evening!

No wine, I'm pregnant. I don't like TV and I'm knackered so my knitting keeps going wrong!

Haberpop · 15/09/2018 19:25

Working, I have a waking night looking after a ventilated child in their own home so mum/dad can grab some sleep.

RockyisMYRhino · 15/09/2018 19:51

Hope you manage to plan an exciting trip rosamore
Hope the destressing is working purpleme12!
Fingers crossed for a smooth night for you Haperpop

Have eaten dinner (slightly disappointing if I'm honest) washed up and now have my feet up with my film Smile

My DP is away - baby in bed, I've got a glass of fizz, waiting on my takeaway and watching a film I know he'd hate! BLISS

Kewqueue · 15/09/2018 19:56

Weekend away at the beach - in a family room with 3 kids watching Bake off!

OnASwissRoll · 15/09/2018 19:57

You lucky beggar OP. I love it when my DH is working away.... Watching my programmes on the big telly, instead of the little bedroom one because DH is watching some shit or playjng some shit on his xbox. And then sleeping in my own lovely big comfy bed, instead of having to vacate to the cold pokey spare room when DH begins his rumbling earthquake impressions from both ends!

I envy you. It's been too long since DH worked away...

LanguidLobster · 15/09/2018 19:58

I was just comparing the merits of rose's lime cordial and vimto squash Blush

How sophisticated I am.

I'll have a cup of tea and shower later (yes, the excitement is escalating here)

GoodbyeSummer · 15/09/2018 20:02

Dh is going out but not until later on. We're having our tea now. Tonight I might eat some chocolate that I haven't bought yet whilst watching Dr Pimple Popper on YouTube (there's nothing on TV and I haven't got anything recorded).

Sallygoroundthemoon · 15/09/2018 20:05

Harry Potter and wine :).

BrieAndChilli · 15/09/2018 20:08

DH is also away, just getting kids into bed and then going to have a cup of tea, chocolate and some tv.

Cheesymonster · 15/09/2018 20:11

Also watching Harry Potter with wine. Had chicken fajitas for tea and now having chocolate fudge cake and ice cream.

Will try and find a film to watch after HP but we can never agree on one so we'll end up with a box set.

London28 · 15/09/2018 20:19

DH is away, DC are at MIL, so I am sat down having a junk.fest for dinner, which includes slices of pizza, a whole tub of pringles, a wedge of new york cheese cake washed down with a can of full fat coke and some tangfantastics for later! Watching TV

LanguidLobster · 15/09/2018 20:21

London28 you made me feel slightly jealous, I need to reverse anaemia but have lost my appetite

SilverHairedCat · 15/09/2018 20:24

DH is out with the boys, meaning he'll roll in steaming about 5am. Quite normal, fine by me.

I'm eating macaroni cheese, watching Harry Potter. The dog has just rolled off the sofa by mistakenwhile wrestling her T-Rex cuddly toy and is standing there a bit shocked while the cat stares at her in disgust.

I'm cracking open a beer next.

RockyisMYRhino · 15/09/2018 20:29

Sounds like most of us are having a good Saturday night in!
I may have had a couple of cheeky sneaky cigarettes (don't judge me! Blush) DH is on a stag do so due home sometime after 11 depending on the stag as he is also staying over. Only downside is we have to sleep in DCs room as well as we only have a two bed house Confused

ChairinSage · 15/09/2018 20:37

DH is at work, DCs are out with their cushions so I'm planted on the sofa with the cat, my crochet, an enormous mug of coffee and a bar of Aldi milk chocolate while I catch up with The Crown. I really appreciate having the house to myself!
