Hand luggage for a toddler.

We're away on our first abroad holiday in october with our wee boy (2). Thinking about Costa del sol - going into travel agents just before school holidays and booking mega late deal! For us that would be about a 4 hour flight. He's not very good a sitting on his bum and focusing on one thing. He might sir for half an hour with little baby bum but that'll be out of the question as no 4g allowed in the air! So I guess I'm looking for clever ideas to pack for him. I don't really want to spend 4 hours walking up and down a narrow plane aisle trying to avoid the trolleys!

If you have an iPad, download iPlayer kids and you can download programmes to that so you don't need WiFi

A flight bag is a must! Pack some cheap toys and wrap them up and introduce a new one each time he gets a little figety! Colouring pens and paper, or you can get those colouring books where you put water in the pen and it turns the page into colour

And lots and lots of snacks!

If you can, book a flight that coincides with nap time :)

It's such an exciting adventure for them they are usually pooped by the time they get on the plane!

Have fun! X

If you have CBeebies iplayer, Netflix or Amazon Prime you can download some programmes to a phone or tablet for him.

Sticker books. Lots of snacks. Have a look at Keep ‘em Quiet packs - my little one loved his when we did a similar length flight last year.

Download lots of stuff onto an iPad and get them some headphones. Magic colouring books, lots of snacks, aquadoodle, few little cars.

Yep download lots of stuff onto a tablet. Bring a couple of small books and quiet toys like cars etc.
Also accept that it can be pretty stressful flying with a toddler so at least you're not expecting him to sit like an angel Grin
We've been lucky that the people we've sat next to on planes have either had kids of their own and ds has played peekaboo with them between the seats and on another flight we had a lovely granny next to us and she was quite taken with ds.

Thanks for the ideas. Have now subscribed to Netflix and will install it on every device I have! Also great ideas of things to do on the plane too so Amazon here I come!
