Nerves gone. Do I still go?

I've booked to take my 2 children 4 and 7 to France on my own for half term. We have a house with a pool booked.
Since booking it ive had a horrendous break up with their father and he's took some work overseas to avoid the situation and leave all the shit to me.
Long story short I'm full of anxiety, I'm getting really wound up about travelling alone but friends keep saying it will do me good. Do I go?

Yes go! It'll be really good for your self esteem, and good for the children to see you coping alone. Not to mention a nice holiday with a pool. How are you travelling?

Absolutely do go. You will show the children, their father, and yourself, that you can get along fine as a family without him. Enjoy the holiday!

Flying. Oddly I've never been that bothered about flying before but for some bizarre reason I'm really nervous this time. I think i should be fine once I'm there. It's right by a park and I suppose if I really don't feel like it the kids will be happy with the park and the pool. I can't believe how nervous I am. I feel a bit pathetic ha

Absolutely go! I'm sure you'll be fine. But if you don't go, you'll just all be stuck at home over half term. So, seriously, go for it. It will be a good break for all of you.

You're not pathetic. You're having a tough time. But this is a way of beginning the process of picking up the pieces.

Thank you. I'm just looking at stuff to do that's free/require minimal effort ha. I'm booking a taxi to transfer us too. Sod the train
