Hi,
I wonder if any of you can help me find the perfect solution?
I'm looking for something to play white noise all night as well as be able to play audiobooks and music in a 3 year olds bedroom.
It needs to be mains powered, have continuous play facility and not be internet reliant as our signal is rubbish.
I'd prefer something simple that doesn't require syncing etc too often. The ability for child to select music themselves in the day would be an advantage. Control via an iphone app would be good too provided it's not the only control method.
Don't mind spending a bit to find the perfect solution. Don't want iPad etc in room.
An old fashioned stereo system would have worked well with continuous play function but not sure you can still get those?!
Thanks in advance! Smile

what about a cd player? not the most high tech, but you can get audio books on cds, as you can songs. you can't control it from your phone though.

Hi Sleep,
Many thanks for your replies! Yes that's definitely the sort of thing I'm after! The primary function would be continuous white noise like a fan to run all night through the winter months. I can't link that to my phone as id then have to leave my phone in the room but maybe if I look into white noise cds, that might work! Things we're definitely much simpler pre-digital!! Smile

glad i could help, would it be this sort of cd you are after? www.amazon.co.uk/Sound-Tmsofts-White-Noise-Sounds/dp/B00I86X9O2?tag=mumsnetforum-21

my dd has the 1st cd player, and its great because we can get her some audio books from the local library as apposed to buying them all the time. saves money in the long run x

Yes! Thank you!! Excited about the audiobook possibilities from the library, the kids get unlimited cards here so will definitely make the most of it. Thanks again sleep! Thanks
