Can anybody else just not sleep?

I've been tired all bloody day! I've resorted to watching friends on Netflix even though I've seen them all before.

My cat woke me up about an hour ago and I can't get back to sleep! Actually thinking about putting a wash on. Why are you awake?

Chest infection. 5 weeks and counting now, cough and wheeze if I lie down so wasting time on the internet until I just flake out

Easynow · 15/09/2018 03:05

I did, but between 22.00-01.30 Confused

On my 2nd Brew

researchandbiscuitfan · 15/09/2018 03:08

My cat woke me up too 😡. I’m recovering from hernia surgery and can only sleep sitting up. One of my arms has gone stiff from the position and it’s making my thumb twitch non stop, plus I have tingly nerve pain from the surgery. I need to sleep so much 😭😭

researchandbiscuitfan · 15/09/2018 03:23

Still awake 😭

FloatyFlo · 15/09/2018 03:27

I've not long got home from work. So tired but feeling wired from work so will likely struggle to get to sleep for the next hour as usual. So frustrating!

DolorestheNewt · 15/09/2018 03:29

Just home from work. Sniggering and trying not to shake the bed at the thread about awful pillow talk.

ShowerTheHorse · 15/09/2018 03:37

Oh I am still awake, I had started to drop off but DP woke up for the toilet, so here I am watching friends. It's the one with the holiday armadillo Grin.

DolorestheNewt that made me laugh too! AlsoFlowers to OhHolyFuck being poorly

And everybody else is welcome to join me just come downstairs for a cuppa. No point now.

10 week old DS has got into a habit of snorting and shuffling around from 2am. He's currently asleep on my chest but he'll be waking up in an hour or so for milk (every 3 hours still...). I was considering getting into bed with DD(4) but she's only got a toddler bed and I don't think I'd fit.

I genuinely hate this stage of babyhood! Unfortunately DD was an awful sleeper until 18 months so we've got a long road ahead if DS follows suit...

Chocolatecake12 · 15/09/2018 03:51

I’m at a beautiful hotel but the bed is too squishy - like sleeping in a giant marshmallow. The pillows are the same.
Initially I slept, then woke up hot, took covers off then woke up cold, then needed a wee. Now I’m sat here on mums net listening to dp softly snoring!

nodtik · 15/09/2018 03:53

Princess1066 · 15/09/2018 03:54

I haven't slept a whole night for the last 21 years - guess how old my DS is? Hmm

ShowerTheHorse · 15/09/2018 04:04

Princess please don't say 21, otherwise I'm in for a long road Grin. If it is, please don't tell coodle, otherwise I think she may crack

I was asleep but woke around 3. Normally happens if I have too much to drink. But I had nothing last night so it’s doubly annoying.

Was planning on being up at 7 but I’ve switched the alarm off now. If I get back to sleep I’ll just wake when I wake. Have to get DS up for school at 9 as he has a late start tomorrow. His school does Saturday school as it’s also a boarding school.

FinallyMrsE · 15/09/2018 04:11

Apparently I shouted out in my sleep so DH woke me up to check I was ok as he thought I was having a nightmare, he is now sleeping soundly and I'm wide awake with no idea what my nightmare was about Confused

Thehappychef · 15/09/2018 04:11

I've woken up and can't get back to sleep. First day of my holiday and not quite the lie in I was hoping for

HettieBettie · 15/09/2018 04:12

Me... started a new job on my return from mat leave and I’m just so anxious!

Yogafailure · 15/09/2018 04:20

Bloody menopause...I've started waking up between half 3-4 again so I've been watching all my favourite dances from Strictly on YouTube 🤦🏼‍♀️

Just debating whether or not to get up and watch the next episode of No Offence now I've read on another thread that it's available...

PerfectlyPosed · 15/09/2018 04:24

33 weeks pregnant. Woke up for a wee about an hour and a half ago and haven't been able to get back to sleep.

LuvMyBoyz · 15/09/2018 04:25

I’ve been awake all night. My own fault...too much to eat and drink (dh birthday meal) and a late afternoon nap.

I am going on a 8 mile walk in the morning! :o

FattyMcGee · 15/09/2018 04:27

Had a nap until 5pm yesterday and I am seriously regretting it now. I'm going to have to keep busy all day and go to bed with DS at 8pm in the hopes of my sleeping schedule being sorted out Sunday morning.

beltanelove · 15/09/2018 04:32

Me too.....
Anxious about ds as his behaviour has gone seriously downhill since starting primary school. Oh and I need to do a pregnancy test tomorrow as late on period. Ive a nine month old too and don’t really want a third...

So in short I’m too anxious to sleep. Made a nice brew and returned to bed with dd the chronic bedsharer

notsokeen · 15/09/2018 04:36

I had a one off kfc for dinner and it’s left me so thirsty and my mouth so dry that I had to go get a glass of water. Obviously can’t get back to sleep now, but I really need to as I’m going to Wembley tomorrow to watch the Tottenham vs Liverpool match with my family, and if I don’t get back to sleep and get my last 2 hours I’m going to be so mad. But saying that, If I get my normal 9 hours I’m more tired then say my 6/5 hours sleep!

Never eating kfc again, ruins your sleep!

Rebecca36 · 15/09/2018 04:47

I usually wake up for a while, sometimes quite a while. 'Little House on the Prairie' on TV and I'm having a small mug of warm milk before I go back to sleep.

Dandybelle · 15/09/2018 04:55

31 weeks pregnant. Woke up with unreal heartburn and then needed a wee and now just lay in bed thinking I really need to go to sleep but not actually doing anything about it.

Hope DD has a lovely lie in in the morning...

stationaryace · 15/09/2018 04:55

On week two of chemo and a ridiculously restricted diet, meaning I'm now usually up sometime after 3 for a quick breakfast (hello sugared rice crispies). Ideally I sleep again after but sometimes, like tonight, it looks like I'll just while away the hours until sun up. Plus my bed is much cosier than the sofa!
