Should I log this with the police?

I was just in the bathroom when I noticed some bright flashing lights outside, so I went through to the bedroom to see what they were. On looking outside I could see a car parked two houses down the road to the left of our house, with it's hazards flashing. When I went to turn inside I noticed a guy walking up our neighbours drive to the right hand side. He noticed me in the window, turned and walked back up the drive, turned out in the opposite direction to the car, took a few steps then spun round and headed for the car. The car sped down the road (which is a dead end). I waited by the window and a couple of minutes later it sped back down the road in the opposite direction.
Our neighbours are away. I have never seen them have visitors in the evening, let alone anyone visiting at 11pm (in fact they have hardly any visitors except their two daughters and their families).
It's given me a really uneasy feeling, and although I'm pretty sure the guy didn't break in, I'm worried I may have spooked him and he may come back.
DP is of course away this weekend 🙄 so I may be hyper sensitive, but I did live alone for many years quite happily, so it's not like me to be worried.
Should I log this with the non emergency number, or call their daughters to let them know?
It could have just been someone putting something through the letter box, but it seems unlikely at 11pm!

I'd report it to 101.

Yes I think I will, in case they come back. They do have an alarm, which hasn't gone off, but I'm just worried if I spooked them they may come back!

Report.
Write down any significant info you can remember about the person (physical description and clothing) and the car (make, model, colour, reg) so you have it if needed.

Just reported it, lady was very nice and said I'd done the right thing to report it. They are sending a car to drive past and around the area if they can. I'm sleeping with the light on 😩
