My coil has been in for over 5 & a half years & I am having it removed next week. Has anyone experienced symptoms when their coil is due to come out? I seem to be extra tired, paranoid etc. Had some bleeding a few weeks back which the gynae nurse said was probably caused by the coil.

I’m on my second. Had no problems before the first came out. No problems after change over either.

I'm pretty sure I've been through the menopause, but very few symptoms. I can't face having it taken out as in my imagination it's grown into my uterus and will need to be dragged out by a herd of elephants!
Once my periods stopped after having it fitted, I've had no bleeding at all.

@Soontobe60 I have had my second one in for forever. Do you think you will ever bother to have it taken out? Will it do any harm to leave it in, do you think?
