I’m hoping someone can give me some good tips! I have a job interview on Monday for a fairly niche role that my CV could not be more perfect for. Unsurprisingly the company were super keen to see me and it’s the sort of situation where (without wishing to blow my own trumpet 😬) I feel pretty confident I’d get the job in a normal application process.
Issue is it’s a FT job and I want to do 3 days per week.
Prior to being offered the interview I spoke to their team about flexible working as I felt it was important to be upfront that that is what I was looking for. But I didn’t say specifically what I wanted.
So how do I go in and knock their socks off while persuading them I could do the job with my eyes closed, they won’t find anyone with as good experience and that can hit the ground running the same way and that can do the job in a three day week?!
I definitely know I can’t accept the job (assuming I were actually to be offered it) FT and yet I feel quite torn as roles like this don’t come up very often, let alone in the part of the country where I live! (Another reason why I think they’d struggle to find someone with as good experience so might be in my favour...)
