Another weird house listing thread

Just browsing for my imaginary new life in Bury St Edmunds and came across this house - who the hell took the photos? They obviously liked the outside . . .

SOLD! I would love a house with such a fab garden. Clearly they're trying to show developers how many houses they could build on the land though, shame :(

Wagonwheelsandjammydodgers · 14/09/2018 18:32

Or it's rented and the tenants wouldn't allow photos in the bedrooms?

RavenLG · 14/09/2018 18:34

I’m confused to what’s wrong? I was expecting a sex swing in the garden or something?!

Bloodybridget · 14/09/2018 19:01

Well Raven two of the photos are the wrong way round, and most of them are of the orchard . . . Sorry if you were disappointed!

Quite nice, gardens are good. Plenty of outbuildings. Only one bathroom and that's downstairs but could probably put in another one.

I can't see what is all that weird about the house, more of a cottage. It is in the countryside after all. I presume the outbuildings were put up for a reason - a cottage industry?

Very cheap! Bury St Edmunds is an extremely pleasant area.

INeedNewShoes · 14/09/2018 19:48

What's weird is that only a small proportion of inside the house is shown and they've filled out the pictures with loads of shots of the same bits of garden.

I'm with you on this one OP!

Bloodybridget · 14/09/2018 20:14

Yes thanks NewShoes I didn't mean that the house was weird, I'd probably like it if I could see a bit more of it!

(Misses point)

LadyOfTheCanyon · 14/09/2018 20:16

Yeah, what's going on in the bedrooms and the bathroom(s)??

Chocolatecoffeeaddict · 14/09/2018 20:18

Creepy.

Bloodybridget · 14/09/2018 20:37

Chips if I had two lives I would move there. As it is I am pretty firmly attached to where I do live, and DP even more so!

I never saw what was so great about Bury St Edmunds. I used to work there and stay there in the week and never felt safe walking through the town centre at dusk on my own - lots of drunk youths hanging about and fighting. What's the point living somewhere "naice" if you can't go out and about much of an evening?

That house is lovely though- well, from what I can see of it.

ChipsAndKetchup · 14/09/2018 20:46

@Bloodybridget I'm the same. I'm an hour away from Bury but have family and friends there. I love it but can't uproot my family.

Bluntness100 · 14/09/2018 20:47

The house is clearly in need of some work. I'd assume there is no pic of the bedrooms and bathroom due to the state they are in. I'm guessing an old person lives there, or did.
