How Do I Stop The Bl##dy Adverts!

Hi, I have three companies constantly advertising on MN. I don't mind the companies so no problems there, it's just how they advertise. It's very distracting and annoying! I get a box with lots of small pictures of their wares. Nothing wrong with that, except they highlight one after the other and showcase it in a larger picture. It's constantly changing and really distracting! (I hope I explained that OK?)

I had an 'Ad Choices' option so clicked on that and removed my consent/cookies for three advertisers. I came back on here and they are still there! How do I block them, does anybody know? They are driving me potty!

I've tried all sorts, I've been clicking on the Ad Choices and opting out of advertising but still they are there. Different companies now but still animated and annoying! Sorry to hear you've got them too Gooseysgirl.

I am pretty sure by visiting the site you agree to the advertising so opting out will only work while you are on that one page.

An adblocker will stop them altogether but can also affect other options on some websites.

If you are on a computer, deleting cookies will change which adverts you get.

I got a adblocker - the ads on MN were so intrusive they drove me to it. And I used to get lots for Autism Speaks which is an organisation I really do object to a lot, so that made it worse.
