Brexit and booking holidays...... what are you doing?

We were thinking of booking a trip to Italy in Easter next year. But looking at the news on Brexit I’m starting to think it’s not worth the risk of getting caught up in whatever chaos comes after March 29. Anyone else thinking the same? Curious as to what others are doing.

Europe has a far less crowded road network because people are more spaced out. It never ceases to amaze me how quiet the roads are once one gets to calais. Towards Paris! Towards Dunkirk.

Driving in France is a dream. Drove all the way up from the SW recently. No roadworks or traffic jams at all (admittedly, we avoided a Saturday).

We’re stuck not going away over Easter for the foreseeable future as both DC go through their exams but DD is away to Italy in May with a school trip and we’re booking summer stuff as usual.

Europe has a far far better road network

"Bit of a generalisation there - you've evidently never tried to get through Belgium any time recently"

Well i have, on my way to a CX race in Valkenberg......but Europe is more than little ole Belgium isn't it, Scary?

Sure nothing is perfect and i ve spent a fair bit of time stuck on a German or Dutch M/way after an accident or the Paris peripherique but overall, Europe has a better more developed m/network for its population density/car usage than we do.

As for the A303? joke road, only bested by the A35/A31 in that respect.

Doesn't anyone remember when we orderly obtained visas to travel.......##Its like people think you wont be able to go on holiday!

So glad we booked our Easter holiday ages ago. Prices going to go sky rocketing for last minute bookers now ;-)

We booked at Christmas our main Summer holiday to Spain in August, then booked a couple of long weekends away to Europe June/July time.

What will be will be. I can’t worry about it, it will drive me mad!
