I've been hearing about all these escape rooms in London - has anyone done a good one?

Like a 'panic room' (as in the film)?

How large are you looking for? Do you mean for a large group?

With kids or just adults?

I have done several in the city I live in. In London I have been to clue Quest near Kings Cross and it is probably the best one I’ve done. The maximum group size is quite small though, but they have multiples of the same room so you can divide your group up and compete against each other if you want.

Idaho it’s a group activity. A room is set up with clues and puzzles to solve to lead you to the key to unlock the room. You have an hour to solve it and escape. Very fun.

This is an excellent one, but possibly a little hard to start with.
Its fairly easy to find them now theyre more of a "thing"

If youre not actually IN London then look for a ClueHQ or "escape reading" (replace your city here), theyre good.

Thanks for this, I'm looking at sixty people and I just don't know where to start.

There are so many - don't want a rubbish one!

Every escape room of the 35 I've done, I wouldn't recommend a group larger than 5 for. They really are just one or two rooms with puzzles etc and any larger than that tends to leave one person feeling like they missed out and didn't really get to do anything.

zucchinicourgette · 14/09/2018 15:43

Sixty people is way too many for an escape room. If you have a generous budget how about a private hire of the crystal maze live experience though?

I haven’t done it myself but know people who have and it sounds great fun, especially if you’re the right generation to remember the original game show.

tenbob · 14/09/2018 15:46

The Crystal Maze can take 4 teams of 8, so you couldn't do 60 in one go but it is excellent
