Does anyone know what these are and where I can find them? Somebody in France needs to send me a refund and says her bank has asked for these and she can't do it without them. She has the name of my bank, account no and sort code.

They'll be on the top of your bank statement with a/c no and sort code.

Call your back and ask, it’s a number that enables international financial systems (banks, mostly) to identify your bank account, you wouldn’t necessarily have it somewhere already.

IBAN = international bank account number - individual to you, should be on your statement.

BIC = branch identifier code, specific to your branch, again should be on your statement.

Swift code is for your bank, if it’s HSBC it’s MIDGB22

International Bank Account Number
Society for Worldwide International Funds Transfer
Bank Identifier Code

You just need the IBAN and it should be on your statement - last bit should be the sort code and account number :-)
