Anyone had their baby at Brighton Hospital?

I've just found out that I'm going to have to have my baby there, due to him needing extra care when he is born and possibly a transfer to Evelina if hes very unwell when he is born.
It wasn't part of the plan and I have only heard one person say anything good about it.
It's much busier than my more local hospital and I'm worried I won't be able to have water to labour in (it's the only thing that helps me cope) and they will be really stretched staff wise, although there will be a neonatal consultant on hand due to the heart issues of the baby.

Can anyone tell me their experiences please?

I realise the NICU is excellent, I've worked there so I have no worries and all the confidence in them.
I'm just worried I won't get the birth I would like.
This whole thing is so stressful I just want a stress free birth as possible.

The only babies I’ve known born there are ones where the birth was difficult or the baby was going to need special care right away. All of them were born safely and are happy and healthy children now. I’ve not heard anything worse about that hospital than others in the area such as Worthing, St Richards, East Surrey or Hayward’s Heath.

I know they are good for the baby, I always hear that and worked for them as well.

I haven't heard that for the care of the woman though.
