hi, a question for the experienced mums out there please.
my ds was offered a primary school on an in-year application (recent repatriation to london). when asked whether we’d like to remain on the waiting list for our #1 choice, we said yes and kept regular contact with the council, repeating our willingness to remain on the list (email trail available).
yet recently council (ken and chelsea) contacted first via letter stating ds “was removed from the list and that we had to reapply if we wish to do so”, and then via email indicating “he was added back to the list”. we were on holiday when the letter apparently had arrived (early august) and needless to say the waiting list had come down by quite a few kids during the time ds was removed from the list and we did not even know until too late.
imo, this is a violation of the admissions code. would like to hear if anyone has more information please or can suggest how to go about it.
