Where to eat in London this weekend?

I have a very rare weekend to myself and am heading to London. Very excited. I’ve booked a couple of shows but nowhere to eat.
Does anyone have suggestions that are not takeaways or chains but not expensive either. Would prefer not particularly child friendly as it’s a break from them!
Will be visiting the Southbank, Leicester Square and Victoria around mealtimes. Don’t know London very well and wherever it is needs to be accessible for wheelchairs.
Any ideas?

If you like Japanese food then Tokyo Diner on the corner of Newport Place behind Leicester Square is fab. It’s a sort of no-frills Japanese canteen.

I do- lived there for a while thanks so much for that idea

Any suggestions for the south bank at all for early evening?
(Hopeful bump!)

The restaurant at the National Threatre is very nice. the only others I can think of on the South bank are mostly chains (Wagamammas etc)

If I were you, I’d head away from the South Bank onto The Cut. Great food at the Anchor & Hope, though you might have to share a table. The restaurant at the Young Vic is also nice, or there’s Taz for Turkish food - it’s a chain but good food and the restaurant’s spacious, so lots of room for manoeuvre for wheelchairs.
I like Tokyo Diner but think it might be a bit tight for a wheelchair.

Heartily agree with the recommendations for the Cut, especially the Anchor and Hope. Just around the corner, under the railway arches on Isabella Street, is Ev, which is also Turkish and owned by the same people. The food is excellent and it's a really lovely, tucked-away setting. The other option would be Bermondsey Street, which has some fabulous restaurants.

Agree that upstairs at Tokyo Diner would be impossible but you might be OK on the ground floor.

Boro Bistro is right next to London Bridge and is fab. Also Padella which is just next to Borough Market
