Unrelaxing cat

Cats are supposed to be relaxing aren't they? Hmm
As soon as DCat has a hand on her she will insist on being stroked just out of comfortable reach. Flits between DH and me. On the rare occasions that she sits on a lap, she'll only stay for a minute.
She's 7 so I'm not going to change her but honestly.

You have the female version of my cat.

The only time he settles on my lap is, I am sure, when he knows I am about to have to move and he makes a huge drama of it with much stretching in front of my feet and dirty looks. He is also the noisiest cat I have ever known and gallops up the stairs like a shire horse on steroids before jumping on me at night. But he only does this when he is either wet or cold. He caught me in a really deep sleep last year and I reflexively kicked him off the bed and right across the room (I know.. I know) he still came back until he was warm and dry!

Not quite sure why we have them.

Yes, why do they do that thing of just moving to a place you can’t quite reach them ?! Cats are just plain annoying.

Mine was really hoity toity, neurotic and haughty Grin

I still thought she was absolutely beautiful though

Dogs have masters, cats have servants. It is very true. She is just letting you know who is the boss Grin
