Just wondering if there are any 5 seaters out there that will work with 2 car seats and a booster across the back row?

All advice gratefully received Smile

We used to have an old Ford Focus. (Not estate, just a normal one). We got 3 car seats in the back, then as they grew, high back boosters, then regular boosters. It was a tight fit and very stressful to get all their seatbelts on. It wasn't ideal but we managed.

Citroen berlingo - sliding doors so
Helpful getting kids in and out in tight spaces!

Take a look at this, you can get 3 or 4 seats in the back with!

We have a Citroen Xsara Picasso but I think they stopped making them in 2010.

Berlingo. It ain't pretty but damn me it's practical. The sliding doors are genius!

We had a Renault scenic and could fit two high backed boosters and a regular booster in the back row. It was very very tight though.

We now have the grand scenic and DD sits in the very back so it’s more roomy.

Renault Scenic. All three back seats have Isofix points. We have two Britain’s Romer high back boosters and a Britax Prince stage 1 seat in ours.

IFartGlitter · 11/09/2018 22:19

Britain’s? Fecking autocorrect. Britax!

Ford S max. Fits my friend's one year old twins rear facing and her five year old in appropriate seats

GunpowderGelatine · 11/09/2018 22:22

Our Ford C-Max is great for this and they're not expensive cars either

Isitmybathtimeyet · 11/09/2018 22:24

S Max easily. We can do it in a Fiesta too. Cram 'em in.

Want2bSupermum · 11/09/2018 22:24

Ford is fantastic for families with 3DC. When designing family cars they are designed with 3DC in mind. However, DH went with the Volvo XC90. Yes you can fit 3 across but there are cheaper cars which are better value IMO.

I have a BMW X5 and fit 2 proper car seats for my 3 and 4 year olds and my 8 year old sits in between on a bubblebum blow up booster seat. Works fine!

JellyTeapot · 11/09/2018 22:45

Ford s-max - I've got a 5 year old and 1 year old twins all in car seats, plus the boot is big enough for all the crap having two babies entails. Wish it had sliding doors though.

Largepiecesofcrookedwood · 12/09/2018 00:25

My old Discovery would have fitted three armchairs across the back seats.
Shame it was a beast for diesel, cost a fortune to tax and wouldn't fit in the Waitrose car park really Grin

EverybodysChanging · 12/09/2018 09:47

This is a big help! Thanks all Smile

Seat Alhambra fitted three booster seats (but it was a 7 seater).

Currently have a Citroen Picasso C4 where the seats fit fine, but it's uber stressful to click the seatbelts. No journey happens quickly! I'm off to google seatbelt extenders.....

KellyMarieTunstall2 · 12/09/2018 09:53

My Volvo XC60 fits baby seat, toddler seat and child high back booster. The boot is large enough for a double pram and a dog crate.
