Annoying things in life that should be easy

Im trying to buy a car through a website and part finance it. I sent my passport and council tax notice as proof of address. This is not good enough. It has to be bank statement or utility bill. The council tax notice is not a bill..just a notice...I sent them an electricity bill. Not good enough. It has to have been posted to me they do not accept online account documents. I literally don't have any! ALL my banking is paperless as are ALL my utilities. I sent a picture of a pension document and I sent a picture of my broadband asking if they would accept scans of those. Again, not good enough. Fucking hell.
Banks actively ask you to go paperless but when it comes to you taking their finance they don't accept paperless documents as proof. Is that not absolutely ridiculous?
I think it is.
I need the car asap. I work over an hour away from my hometown so I can't just go to my local branch for a stamped statement and I only get 30 mins L38 ch so no time to go to a different branch.

Anyone else got examples of things which should be easy but end up a massive hoo ha?

Use your drivers licence. Ask your utility company to send you a one off paper bill.

Order a bank statement to be posted, although it might cost you!
Since you are buying a car, presumably you have a driving license?

Yes and this is the other very.annoying.thing

When i moved updated my license details bit have never received a new ones showing the new address. I looked on the government gateway a few days ago and the DVLA do have my new address on their system. I went through the whole process to change my details to see what it says and at the end it came up with a statement "does your license show any of the above addresses?". 1 was my new address and 1 was my old address. Well, my license does show my old address so I clicked "yes" and it said "great, you dont need to do anything all your details are up to date". So i am assuming as long as the address on your license matches an address you've lived at in the last 3 year's, that yoir license doesn't get updated?
Anyway, I then asked for a replacement thinking if i get a new one it will surely show my new address. So i have paid the £20 but it takes up to 2 weeks to come.
Arghhh nothing seems easy...
