Help! New school starter advice please

My ds started school was last week,was all fine first couple of days now he's in a foul mood and tearful for ages after I pick him up.Is it normal due to change of it all?

All normal! My daughter loved it last week. This week is al teary. It's all new, they will get there I promise. I went through all this with my son, you just need to be positive and say they'll have a fabulous time making friends and playing games, then basically shove them in and run x

Lol he really enjoys it but when I collect him he's really grumpy I wonder if he's just letting off steam because tired

I suspect he is tired and, possibly, hungry when he first gets home.

I'm also not sure that they always realise that school is forever, rather than something you just try for a couple of days and then stay home!
