Inappropriate messages from mechanic?? Help!

Let me just start off by saying I have no idea how this happened, Im not exactly Cate Blanchett and I’m not great with people in general. In fact it’s a miracle I even have a DP

Some guy hit my car outside the supermarket and I’m getting it fixed through his insurance, they sent a mechanic round today to take pictures of the damage so he can send it to the insurers, so far so good

Once he left he phoned to say if I had any problems to give him a ring, how nice I thought!

Swiftly followed ten minutes later by a text saying I had the most beautiful voice he’d ever heard

So...do I ignore?? That’s my strongest inclination but since this NEVER happens to me I wanted to run it by someone and I just COULDNT say this out loud to someone, it would have me squirming with embarrassment

Obvs I will die if he is the one to turn up to fix the car in two weeks

Exactly. He only has your personal information on the proviso he provides a service. It’s exploitative to use it for anything else. My GP has an X-Ray my uterus but I’d be surprised if he called me up to tell me it was pretty... for lots of reasons.

To be honest I think the main reason I felt/am feeling uneasy is that he shouldn’t be texting or phoning me unless in a professional capacity. I would get into an awful lot of trouble for doing that at work

I had similar with an AA recovery driver.

I am the most average woman ever. He asked to use the loo after recovering my vehicle and then wouldn't leave the house and was very sexually suggestive.

I don't think it was because I was gods gift, this isn't a humblebrag.

I think he probably chanced it with all women.

I ended up fleeing out the front door and standing on the front lawn while loudly declaring that my husband was almost home....

Complained to the AA but they didn't give a flying shit.

These people are predators.

Ugh it’s awful that it’s happened to loads of you out there too. Shocking that one was sexually suggestive in your home which I always feel is my safe space!
