Wombling

I sometimes collect receipts which have been left at tills in Tesco or Sainsbury’s and if they haven’t used a loyalty card, I add the points to mine. I was googling to find out if this is actually legal, and found that it seems to be okay as long as you don’t ferret around in the rubbish bins for them.
I was amused to learn that this is known as Wombling, which I suppose is fairly self explanatory.
Does anyone else do this? Sometimes it can be a lot of points! Or money off or something.

It's fraud and if the staff twig you'll be banned but carry on.

No, no, wombling is litter-picking. Used to go wombling with my dad when I was little - a walk where you are specifically taking a bin bag and picking up things the everyday folk left behind.

But Freezerbird I am picking up litter, just using it creatively. Grin

I am concerned that the eco-warriors of Wimbledon Common were not known to the OP.
