I am currently living without a TV as my set went bang and caught fire about a month ago. I have a very nice digital radio but until now I've not really listened to much. (I used to be an Archers fan but stopped listening when they killed off Nigel). What gems can I find on the radio when I am home before I leave to go to work at lunchtime or after I get home about 7.30pm.

I listen to 6music most of the day. They play a great range of music and the presenters are great.

Get IPlayer radio set up and binge on whatever comedy or drama series you fancy. I’ve just listened to a brilliant adaptation of Love in a Cold Climate, and The Divine Comedy. Now cued up Moby Dick and Don Quixote (comedy adaptation of the latter).

Get back into The Archers! Nigel's kids are having an interesting summer.

Lily and Freddie are 18. Daniel is indeed still in the army. Henry, Helen's son, born on the night Nigel fell off the roof, is now 7, coming up to 8.
