Pale grey paint with a hint of blue?

Can anyone recommend a pale grey paint with a hint of blue? Ideally one that comes in a wipeable finish as it's for my kitchen diner. I bought a tester of dulux polished pebble today as I'd read it had blue tones but it's really grubby looking. Any other suggestions welcome. I'm not so concerned with price and would go to higher end paints if I could get the colour I wanted.

I have polished pebble. In my living room it’s a pale grey that looks slightly blue in the afternoon sun. It has never looked ‘grubby’.

A lot of paints look different in different houses so you might need trial and error. PP would have been my recommendation.

I have this, it's more blue on and I love it m.valsparpaint.com/color-detail.php?id=70568&g=70019

I've painted a few bits of a4 with the polished pebble and blue tacked them up all over the place to get a better idea of how it looks. I'm liking it more but not quite loving it yet. Still not as blue/grey as I had in my head. 😞

Dulux Georgian grey. I say it’s grey, dh insists its pale blue!

Bamaluz · 11/09/2018 17:01

Dulux Cornflower white.

I've just painted my kitchen in this and I'm very pleased with it. Oh, and the lounge. It's quite pale, grey in some light, sometimes more blue.

B&Q's own brand "Fog" is a very bluey grey. It's decent quality as well.

soloula · 12/09/2018 07:33

Fog looks a lovely colour but I'm not a fan of b&q own brand. Used it a year or two ago in my shop and it was so watery. Took loads of coats.

Cornflower white could be a possibility. Will send DH to Homebase on the way home for a tester pot.

Keep the suggestions coming please 😊

B&Q own brand is Valspar isn't it? If so it's the premium version you need. It goes on brilliantly.

Largepiecesofcrookedwood · 12/09/2018 07:42

Whatever you buy, it's worth splashing out the extra for the proper kitchen/ bathroom paint rather than the standard emulsion.
We recently bought the Dulux scrubbable paint for our high traffic sitting room, and while I initially baulked at the extra cost it's actually been worth every penny.

FanSpamTastic · 12/09/2018 08:30

Have you tried the dulux visualiser app? You can take a photo of your room and then "paint" it in various colours to get an idea of what it will look like in that room.

soloula · 12/09/2018 09:45

B & q's own brand is colours. I don't rate it. Have used valspar though and it's premium paint is great.

I've not seen the visualizer app. Thanks. Guess what I'll be playing about with this afternoon now haha.

Blackened by Farrow and Ball is lovely. Very pale grey with just a tone of blue

soloula · 13/09/2018 10:55

I don't have a f&b near me so I'll need to go into Glasgow at the weekend when dh is off for some testers I think. I ordered a load of testers from Homebase yesterday but I don't think any are quite right. I like coastal grey by dulux best so far but I'm worried it's a bit too dark. Wish I wasn't so fussy but I have an idea of I want it to look in my head but the reality just isn't matching up with the vision just now.

Check the lid is on properly if you buy Valspar paint - google it for the nightmares, it happened to a friend!

Fired Earth used to have a blue-grey called Crom Fog that was gorgeous, but they discontinued it. I wanted to repaint my hallway in it but I think I might try Glass Samphire instead. I liked Fired Earth paint, it covers really well, has a nice depth of colour and doesn't give me sinusitis when it's being applied.

Dulux Misty Mirror
It comes in their diamond plus paint from trade centres which is very scrubbable

NotMeNoNo · 13/09/2018 12:00

Heron by Dulux Trade is a lovely blue green grey. You really need a big tester in the actual room for these soft colours, they can go so badly wrong. (yukky Nutmeg white!). I guess you can get it in the usual durable finishes and Dulux Trade are all good paints.I'd really recommend getting a tester.

Earthborn Fresh Air

Alternatively, Little Greene paint is excellent quality and they have millions of shades
