Would you go to a walk in centre about this?

Over the past couple of years I have had recurring chest infections. I have been to the GP about it several times but they usually brush me off and tell me it's nothing to worry about.

Anyway I now have another chest infection and along with it, the usual nasty cough. Both DP and my DSis have told me I should go to the walk in centre for some antibiotics but I don't want to waste their time. The last time I went to the walk in centre (for a different reason) they were rude and treated me like I was wasting their time.

I'm not even sure the walk in centre can prescribe antibiotics.

I will be making another GP appointment as well because this many chest infections is a total piss take.

Several people have asked me if I have asthma (I don't as far as I know) or told me it sounds like I need inhalers whenever I get a chest infection or made fun of my bark (aka cough) Blush

Try seeing a different gp and ask for further assessments. WI cannot refer you, just treat the immediate problem.

Yup, they want me to go there because it will take a while for a GP appointment and they think I need antibiotics now.

You should be able to request an emergency appointment if your chest problem is acute.
