9/11 17 years ago today

17 years since we stood in the staff canteen after the first plane and we believed it might have been an awful accident - so naive. Then the realisation when we saw the second plane. Heartbreaking.
I’ll never forget that day, the victims and their families :(

I remember being in maths class at school when I heard about this happening. Awful... still shocking 17 years on.

I remember dozing on the sofa bf newborn ds. Thought I had woken up to a disaster film tbh.
Wondered what world he was living in.

I was 6 months pg, sitting on the sofa, recovering from whooping cough, watching it all unfold in front of me, and wondering what sort of world I was bringing my little one into.

I will never forget that day 💐🌹💐🌹

I was at university and only found out later when I met my sister. She mentioned they towers had collapsed and I remember laughing and saying what do you mean a tower block has collapsed. TBH I didn't really know what the twin towers were. Seems like only yesterday.
