I've been sat in A&E for 13 hours, come and cheer me up!

I've been sat in a corridor for 13 hours. I'm being admitted for a CT scan and lumbar puncture and I'm crapping my pants as I may have an aneurism.

The staff are amazing and are run ragged. A lovely lady has just brought us hot chocolate and a sandwich. There are no beds so I'm expecting to be here until lunchtime.

I'm on my own, I have no overnight stuff and no one to bring it as my boyfriend is looking after my daughter. If I'd have thought I'd be staying in I'd have been much more organised.

My contact lenses are killing me and I can't see without them! I know I'm being a miserable cow and there are others far worse off than me but I'm fed up ☹️

Poor you. You sound like you're been really brave. I hope a bed comes soon x

God, poor you, that is miserable.
When the hospital shop opens can you go and buy some essentials so you don’t feel so unprepared?

Maybe this will help?

So you're saying you don't have overnight stuff with you cos when you went out, you didn't know you'd be out out and now you've ended up really out out?

Can you tell I've been watching Micky Flanagan?

On the sensible side - I hope they're able to get you somewhere more comfortable soon and you can get things you need. How old is dd?

Also aneurysms are relatively rare, but because they can be serious if you have symptoms indicating it's a possibility it makes sense to check. So chances are it's not, which probably is me being useless but perhaps will mean you worry a little less.
