Play doh question

So my LO loves play doh but I’ve been watching adverts for the ice creams and hair set. Does the doh not just merge into brown/horrible mix of play doh?

Yes. But it gets old and hard after a few months anyway so you can buy new lovely smelling stuff.

Yes!

If you just use one colour for the hair set (the one that squishes through and makes strands?) you’re ok obviously and you can pick the ice cream bits apart sort of but yes it goes poo brown!

Yeah, you start with lots of different colours and end up with 10 tubs of brown!

Yes! We have 3 rules for play doh. 1) don’t eat it 2) don’t mix it 3) don’t put it on the carpet 🙈 My two abide by these rules and have the hairdresser and ice cream set! They just do one colour at a time (boring Mum!)

Not boring at all! I bought new tubs many years ago as a step mum and came down to find a big mess all over Edie mccreadys bus. Since then I’m a one colour mum. I just don’t see how these sets work!

Make your own? It’s so cheap & easy then it doesn’t matter if it mixes!

2 cups flour to 1 cup water with food colouring, spoon of oil. Mix adding water gradually (you might not need it all) Doesn’t keep as long as bought but if you keep in tub in fridge will be ok. You can google other recipes with salt/cooked that last longer.
