For 3 yr old going 9 - 3.30. I'm just packing the lunchbag and what I thought was ok doesn't look much. Do you send more just in case?

I've packed one slice of bread and butter, 3 slices of cheese, some cucumber (doesn't like put together sandwiches) a yogurt. Pear. Grapes. 2 slices malt loaf.

I’d say that was about right, but if it all goes tomorrow then add more next time maybe something that won’t harm from being recycled. Or if loads comes home you can miss out something next time.

Mine has...

Cheese sandwich (2 slices of bread but crusts always get left)
Pot of chopped grapes/strawberries
Yoghurt
Breadsticks/ritz crackers/Pom bears (whatever we’ve got in)
Slice of flap jack.

It always all gets eaten.

I think that's enough
Did you pack a juice box? Or squash?
Don't know about that pre school but they normally had crackers and fruit for snack time at the one my little one was at. I remember I packed so much food for my dd first day. Also you can send her with what you feel is enough and observe what she eats and leaves in the lunch box then you will know how much to pack. Good Luck!

Thank you! About right then hopefully. Yes a juice box, and they have free access to water and milk. They also have fruit and crackers so I guess if there's not enough in the packed lunch that's what they get!

Mine have

Sandwich 2 slice if bread with crusts cut off
Pot of fruit
Bag of crisps or snack a Jack's
Yoghurt
Cereal bar.

They also have a snack provides for by preschool in morning and afternoon

SoyDora · 10/09/2018 20:26

Oh and water

Sparrowlegs248 · 10/09/2018 20:27

Is it generally a free for all? I mean I'm sure ds isn't going to think "Oh that bread cheese and cucumber is for lunch, I'd beter have the pear and yogurt for mud morning snack" then again I can't imagine the teachers policing snack time!

Ours are given fruit for a snack, their lunch boxes only come out at lunch time. Sandwiches must always be eaten first.

Mumof4under10 · 10/09/2018 20:41

Same at ours lunch boxes only out at lunch and they have to eat the sandwich first. When they have snack provided for by the preschool they have a little area called snack cafe where they sit

Sparrowlegs248 · 10/09/2018 20:55

Ah, I've just got a lunch bag which has all of the above in it. Last year was only half days so just a snack required so I'm not sure how lunchtime works. Has anyone got a yumbox? I love the look but pricey!

Yeah that’s the same as us... one lunch bag with everything I’ve listed above in it. They get given this at lunchtime, no other time.
They provide fruit for snack time.

Sparrowlegs248 · 11/09/2018 11:14
