I've put the fire on for the first time this year. Lit a Yankee candle, one of the spicey, cakey ones. Got the throws out for the sofas. There is a cat on my knee.

Got tomorrow off work, and will be making apple crumble and ginger biscuits.

Can't believe only a few weeks ago we were in a heatwave.

Love Autumn.

Where are you living? T shirts at the cricket today.

Singlenotsingle · 10/09/2018 20:50

Lovely sunny day in Essex today. It gets dark early though (19.40-ish)

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 10/09/2018 21:28

Love it. There’s a glut of blackberries in the field behind my house that are just asking to go into a crumble. And sloes crying out for gin.

Laska5772 · 10/09/2018 21:31

Autumny? Not here. I still had a skirt and T , sandals and bare legs today.. We are properly (just off the ) South Coast though ..

DisgraceToTheYChromosome · 10/09/2018 21:42

I was able to keep the duvet on all night, and woke up wriggling my toes in that pool of warmth that tells summer has finally buggered off. Still not taking a coat to work though.

ShesABelter · 10/09/2018 21:45

Has poured down allllllll day here, is so cold. In South west Scotland.

Lioness82 · 10/09/2018 21:46

12°C here, caved in and put heating on for an hour this evening. Now sitting with blankets and hot tea. Apple crumble sounds lovely!

IfIWasABirdIdFlyIn2ACeilingFan · 10/09/2018 21:49

Ooh!! Sounds so good OP! I rearranged my living room today so the sofa is nearer the wood burner. Washed all my blankets and cushion covers so they’re fresh for cosy snuggling. Picturing where my [the C word] tree will go. Grin

Rebecca36 · 10/09/2018 22:43

I like autumn too but here in SE London it has been pleasantly warm.

Coconutcake0 · 10/09/2018 23:15

I put the heating on earlier. Its blowing a right storm and pissing down since teatime.

Nicknamesalltaken · 10/09/2018 23:19

Tights and boots worn today. Heating on for an hour in the morning. Shocked that my 8.15pm last activity pick up was in the dark. Evening wear is PJs, dressing gown and blanket. Happy days!

DinosApple · 10/09/2018 23:26

I work in a warehouse it's cold in there, except when it's 30 degrees outside.

Whilst surfing the internet working the other day I discovered thick fur lined leggings... They arrived today and I can't wait to wear them to work (under my work gear, they aren't all that to look at unsurprisingly Grin).

SecretWitch · 10/09/2018 23:30

Cold, pouring buckets here, wind howling away. I love it. Begone summer.

Sarcelle · 10/09/2018 23:33

Sw London. T-shirt day. Tomorrow I am going to south coast. I will be wearing shorts and having an ice cream. Be gone with your premature Autumn announcements.

notapizzaeater · 10/09/2018 23:42

I adore my fleecy leggings 😀😀.

I can't believe I've had my cosy ugg boots on this week, when I was in sandals last week

BigChocFrenzy · 11/09/2018 00:28

A sunny 28-30C the next few days Smile
so enjoying tee & shorts still
but I live right by the Rhine, in Germany

Chipsahoy · 11/09/2018 08:44

A little chilly morning and evening in East mids, but otherwise tshirt and jeans or long skirt type weather.
I have a broken toe, so having to wear flip flops out and about and it's not too cold for those just yet.
Autumn can stay away until my toe heals!

Mushroomsarehorrible · 11/09/2018 08:49

I had the fan on in bed last night. V warm night again, I live in Surrey.

Rockbird · 11/09/2018 08:57

Bit breezy yesterday on Box Hill, Surrey. I actually had a (thin) coat and scarf on! Love it.

BiddyPop · 11/09/2018 09:39

We lit a fire (just a single block while we watched one programme to relax before bed) on Sunday night, it is already quite chill in the evenings. DH has been lighting candles for a few weeks now.

I got my winter raincoat out on Thursday rather than just the summer one.

And we are going to swop the duvet tonight as we have been cold in bed. DD has been wearing a fleece onesie to bed for a few days now - she's a "shorts and tshirt" pjs person normally, even in the depths of winter....

AngelsWithSilverWings · 11/09/2018 09:45

Still feels like summer in Essex.Going camping this weekend but have packed loads of extra blankets and hot water bottles in case the weather turns colder.

UtterlyUnimaginativeUsername · 11/09/2018 10:12

We had a lovely day on sunday, it was sunny but very blustery, and we picked our apples, then made mincemeat and apple brandy. Very autumnal! I have the autumn candles out but haven't lit the fire yet, it's not quite time. And we want the first fire of the year to be really special because we just got a new fireplace installed. We need to finish installing the new skirting boards so the room is properly lovely for the First Fire.

Stephisaur · 11/09/2018 11:22

It's been pissing it down here in the Midlands.

I've never been so happy Grin

I do need to buy a new coat though, having realised that my pre-pregnancy ones no longer fit...

CakeNinja · 11/09/2018 17:09

Hampshire here, it’s still pretty warm and although I love autumn, it’s not here yet and I’m enjoying not wearing a coat or having to layer up. Still, it’s dark when I wake up and I don’t like that at all Sad

HildaZelda · 11/09/2018 17:58

Pouring down here today. About 16c all day. Not sure if I'll put the fire on tonight, but will definitely be in pj's in time for Bake Off.
