What would you like, some bitchy stories about the awful guests?

HurricainBiancaDelRio · 10/09/2018 22:58

MsOliphant actually no thats not what i ment. I was so surprised and very shocked to see neighbour that i talk to everyday on the show and wondered if anybody else had ever seen someone they knew.

Fair enough.

No, I haven't but my mother used to work with people on benefits and without employment in deprived areas and the researchers from the show would actively target them and bribe them with a 'holiday' to Manchester where it was filmed and vouchers for Primark.

Gardai · 10/09/2018 23:20

I heard some of them were actors but that could be a myth.
I like to think they are.

SheSparkles · 10/09/2018 23:22

My friend’s brother in law was on recently-she’s mortified 😂

Rebecca36 · 10/09/2018 23:24

Never seen anyone I know.

The thing about most of his guests, from what I've seen and I'm not a regular watcher, is that their appearance is instantly forgettable. You wouldn't recognise them from the show if you saw them later (unless you knew them of course).

RoseyOldCrow · 10/09/2018 23:30

I was once in a pub in Stoke & saw a family there - clearly regulars, clearly quite happy together - who I recall had been at each other's throats when recently on JK.
It was around that time (c10 years ago?) that the scales were lifted from my eyes.

HurricainBiancaDelRio · 10/09/2018 23:32

i was gobsmacked this morning.. i had it on in the background as i was cleaning and just happened to glance at it.. i thought oh that looks like so&so from down the street. i actually couldnt belive my eyes. I do love in a nice area and on a new build housing estate but these neighbours are not the usual people u would expect in this area. I know that sounds bad but you know what i mean. When i told my husband he said he was shocked but no surprised.

I knew someone who was on it a few years ago. He had a breakdown after it. I actually think JK has improved his advice / approach in the last year or so but at the time was taking the extremely aggressive and humiliating approach

dimdarkashian · 10/09/2018 23:40

What was today's 'topic' OP?

PyongyangKipperbang · 11/09/2018 04:09

The lady that works in the village shop was on with her daughter a few years back. Something to do with the DD's boyfriend cheating I think, I didnt see it.

Odd family, they are either banging on about how close they are or telling everyone with ears how they will never speak again.

Running the village pub means I get all the gossip :o

penisbeakers · 11/09/2018 04:43

Ohgod i haven't watched any jezza for a while.

Bluelonerose · 11/09/2018 04:53

Someone from my town was on it trying to find out who the father of her baby was.

Groovee · 11/09/2018 05:28

Yes. Clients from work. They told us they were going on holiday. They return broken and lots more issues from where they had left after 5 years of work. 5 years of hard work to get these clients into a good place down the drain in minutes.

Another client told us to look back on Jeremy Kyle and here was this couple being used and abused.

The researchers target poor areas. They market it as being a "holiday".

They get there, get split up and the chaperones assigned sit winding them up, plying with drink etc as it makes for good viewing.

It became a daily thing to check JK to ensure no other clients end up there. They get promised after care but in reality once they leave and come home they never hear from them again.

Have never watched it since apart from to fast forward checking there were no clients on the show! I cringe when I hear it.

Friend's ex boyfriend's brother went on it. He was taking a lie detector for a girl he'd been dating a few weeks and clearly thought the whole thing was hilarious. He was quite funny on it in fairness.

Mulberry72 · 11/09/2018 09:12

Someone I used to work with was on it with his girlfriend who thought she was cheating on him with her sister.

He was.

Malibucyprus · 11/09/2018 09:26

I saw someone on there a few years back that I recognised from my DD's primary school. He was accused of cheating, took a lie detector, failed, queue screaming and shouting, storming off separately.

Few weeks after the show aired they were back together Hmm

Aprilshowersnowastorm · 11/09/2018 09:29

A regular from a shop I worked in was on some years ago.
He had dc with 2 sisters and they were on fighting over him.
Grim viewing!!

Saggital · 11/09/2018 09:32

Someone I used to work with was on it with his girlfriend who thought she was cheating on him with her sister.

Eh...that's incest?

Witchofzog · 11/09/2018 09:34

Someone I went to school with was on it. He suspected his girlfriend was cheating. She wasn't. Jk said they were a lovely couple and sent them on their way .There was no asking why he felt the need to bring her on in the first place Hmm
