What to do with old coins/notes

I’m decluttering at home and have a shoe box full of old coins and some notes. Nothing super old - mostly pre euro European currencies (eg francs, lira etc). Would anyone take these? I was thinking particularly of charities, but frankly just want to get rid of them so any solutions welcome!

you can put your coins in here to donate them to a kids cancer charity

all the best x

Brilliant- thank you! I was a bit worried about sending it off online, so it’s great to have a recommendation...

DS1 would be all over them like wasps in jam!

But finding a charity that can take them is a very good idea. I might just investigate that possibility for next time I need to clear his collection off the floor :o

Wondering if a local nursery would use them for their play shop/till? Just another thought if the charity option didn't work out.

That is a good idea Purple - but there are quite a lot (a box had come from my parent’s house when it was sold, to add to my and my husband’s lifetime collection!)
